As a big constituent unit in the field of materials, new carbon materials have always attracted much attention. From the appearance of graphite fibers and their composites, activated carbon fibers and carbon microspheres in the 1950s to the appearance of C60 and its allotropes, carbon nanotubes and carbon alloys at the end of the 20th century, especially graphene, which won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010, attracted a large number of scientists around the world to conduct in-depth research and opened a new chapter in new carbon materials. Mesophase pitch is a high-grade raw material for preparing high-quality carbon materials. Mesophase pitch-based carbon materials have incalculable application prospects in aerospace, national defense industry and daily life. However, many R&D institutions, including China, are limited by the preparation technology of high-quality mesophase pitch, and it is difficult to realize industrialization. Therefore, mastering the industrial conditions for preparing high-quality mesophase pitch is the core problem to be solved urgently at present.
